the record-breaking sale of Michael Jordan’s iconic 1998 NBA Finals ‘The Last Dance’ jersey, sold for $10.1 million.

The sale reportedly set records for a basketball jersey, any game-worn sports memorabilia and most valuable Michael Jordan item ever sold at auction.

The website estimated the selling value to be between $3-5 million,

however, the final sale amount more than doubled the estimate, the final sale amount being $10,091,000.

Following the NBA finals, the jersey was also featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated (June 1998), a copy of which is included with the auctioned jersey.

It topped Diego Maradona's "Hand of God" World Cup shirt from1986, which sold earlier this year for $9.28 million.
